Shooting Disciplines Offered

 

Common Traditional Pistol Events: Every Saturday 12:30pm for 1pm start. (Events shot on a rotational basis during month).  

  • Standard Match 25m (semi-auto .22 pistol) (Turning targets with different timed stages. An excellent event for newer shooters)
  •  Centre-Fire. 25m (shot with centre-fire revolvers and semi-auto pistols) This event is also shot with semi-auto .22 pistols and is called “Sport Pistol”. Turning targets with different timed stages. An excellent event for newer shooters)
  •  Rapid Fire 25m (semi-auto .22 pistol) (very fast. Not suitable for new shooters).
  •  Air Pistol 10m (single shot .177 air pistol) (slow, single-shot event. All about accuracy. This event will help you learn to shoot better and will help in all other ISSF style events)
  •  Free Pistol 50m (single shot .22 pistol) (a very demanding precision match). (Very difficult for a newer shooter).

 IPSC: Held on the 2nd Saturday of each month plus additional matches as per demand and availability of Range officers and shooters. Notifications sent out to our contacts when event is called.

  • IPSC is a practical shooting competition that involves moving through a course and engaging a variety of targets. In this competition, your score is determined by accuracy, power and speed.
  • The club has three 9mm pistols available for use
  • When using Club guns, we also require you to purchase and use club ammunition. 

 Silhouette:  Involves shooting steel silhouette targets out to a maximum of 200m. This event is held during winter months.
